After months of trickling out character after character, Capcom have now sent along a "final roster" trailer, showcasing all fighters on offer from both the Marvel and Capcom camps.
Popular returning characters include Spider-Man, Ryu, Wolverine, Morrigan, Iron Man, Hulk, Captain America, Felicia, Chun-Li, Tron Bonne, Magneto, Storm, Akuma and Doctor Doom. Crimson Viper, Viewtiful Joe and Zero will make their debut in the Marvel vs. Capcom franchise. New characters joining the playable cast for the first time in fighting game history include Taskmaster, Haggar, She-Hulk, Chris Redfield, Thor, Trish, Super-Skrull, Amaterasu, Dormammu, Wesker, X-23, Arthur, Deadpool, Nathan Spencer, M.O.D.O.K. and Dante!
Additionally, Capcom have also released "Episode 4" of their cinematic trailer series, which chronicles another snippet of the games storyline (if you can call it that) in a CG cut-scene that involves the most recently announced characters.

Watch Episode 4 here on AusGamers and for those that missed them, here's Episode 1, Episode 2 and Episode 3.

Check out the "Final Roster" trailer embedded below or click here for the HD option.

Marvel vs Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds is due on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 tomorrow, February 17 2011.

Just bought this today as an impulse buy while I was in JB, was heading over to a mates place and I thought "This could be a bit of fun".

Turns out I was right, this game is really, REALLY fun. My main misgiving about it was that it would just be far too inaccesible, too many characters to learn, too many moves to learn, etc. But its the exact opposite. While I'm sure theres a huge gap between how we were playing tonight, and people who are pro at it, you're still able to pull off amazing s*** even if you're a noob and you end up with really fun, close games that are awesome to watch for the people spectating too.

I would say this is even more accessible than Streetfighter 4, especially since if you really have absolutely NO idea what you're doing theres a simple mode where super moves and specials are bound to buttons and you just gotta press a button to make awesome looking stuff happen. It limits what you can do, but its so satisfying being able to do these awesome looking moves, that it makes you want to play more and know more, instead of turning you away with its complexity.

Great game, highly recommend, lots of fun and beautiful to look at. I laughed many times at the sheer ridiculous, over-the-top nature of some of the supers, so cool.

I'm still waiting for my copy to arrive from Ozgameshop. I think it should be here on monday *hopefully*

The Vs series has always been very accessible with things such as simple mode etc and this one is no different.

Even in standard mode, the fact that you can do massive super moves with a motion and 2 buttons rather than double motion (like in SF4) makes things a lot easier. Having said that from what i've seen so far the game does have some advanced stuff like off the ground juggles with assists to mid air tag combos etc so it doesn't just cater for the button mashers. You have to get technical if you want to win against someone who knows what they're doing.

Wolverine and Super Skrull will definitely be my go to men. Need to decide on a 3rd. Either Wesker, Dante or Zero i think. Can't wait to play it

Yeah, Wolverine and Super Skrull were pretty popular when we were playing it tonight. Even though I had to keep explaining who super skrull was every time someone walked past and went "who's the green and purple guy?"

Couldn't get the hang of Wesker, hes super fast though. Dante is pretty fun though. And deadpool is awesome :) Arthur from Ghosts and goblins was good for some laughs. Sadly, Haggar from final fight seems crap.

Went to pick up a Hori GS3 to go along with this game, but turns out my local JB finally sold out of them before I could get in :( Shame as I think this game wouldn't be as fun on a joypad.

I reckon you definitely need an arcade stick if you want to enjoy the game and get the most out of it.

A lot of the standard combos require you to 'dial' in the commands in order, like:

Light attack, medium attack, heavy attack are all lined conveniently for you to tap with an arcade stick, unlike with a controller where you have one thumb to press 4 buttons. Also those trigger buttons on the 360 suck balls for fighting games. The D pad is another story :/

I'm talking PS3, so the controller is a bit easier to use for fighting games.. just.

A crapload easier to use, standard 360 dpad controller is just painful to use.

Yeah you can just imagine how much of an improvement it was for me from using a 360 controller to a tournament edition arcade stick. Took time getting used to but youll never go back.

I don't think I'll ever be good enough at it for a tournament stick to make any noticeable difference.

As for dpads though, I got one of those XBox 360 controllers that have the rotating dpad, so you can turn it one way and it becomes the 360 style disc, and turn it the other way and it transforms into a ps3 style cross. Pretty sweet! And its silver.

I noticed we stocked the the new TE stick in our EB store at the Sunny Coast. $199, but yea can always try a price match.

If that's the case that's a decent price, especially for EB. If i were you i'd get it awn it darkjedi. Those things can get heavy so shipping from overseas will cost you more as well.

Turns out that the main EB store in Hobart had a PS3 one just chilling and doing nothing. Knew I'd been sitting on all those gift cards for something!

Fixah: You're definitely not wrong about the quality of this thing. holy crap is it awesome! Grabbed MvC3 at the same time and dropped about 3-4 hours last night & another 2-3 this morning just thrashing it out. perfect responses and the joystick's range of motion is spot on.

Now to just not suck as much.

Awesome, nice work dude!

Yeah it takes a bit of getting used to but after some time you'll find yourself instinctively hitting the right buttons and doing moves/combos with a lot more ease. You will never would want to go back to a pad. Here's a thread i made in 09 of my first impressions of the 1st round of TE sticks:
http://www.ausgamers.com/forums/general/thread.php/2747788

Also about an hour ago I decided to make a video of double air combo I've been practising using Wolverine in MVC3. It's not the flashiest combo but it's something i came up with purely just messing around (for hours) so it's totally original. You can hear me tapping all the buttons in the background so it's mostly manual too.

L, M, L, H, Down H, S, AIR M, AIR M, AIR H, S+L (Drill Claw), Down+H, M, S, AIR M, AIR M, AIR H, S+L (Drill Claw), Fatal Claw super.

That's just some of the of stuff you'll be able to pull off with a bit of practice :D
