Ubisoft and Techland have announced the third Call of Juarez game, this time taking the Wild West out of the past and bringing it into modern times.
“The game will bring the best elements of the Wild West into modern times with a very gritty and relevant plot”, said Caroline Stevens, EMEA Brand Director at Ubisoft via press release.
Call of Juarez The Cartel is set in present-day and brings the best elements of the Wild West to a new and modern setting. As a first person shooter with an immersive and mature story, players can expect to embark on a journey like no other – one that will take them from the heart of modern day Los Angeles, California to Juarez, Mexico.
We have two new screens you can check out for the game

I'm not that happy about it going to modern day, a lot of the atmosphere was in playing in the wild west, afterall not many games do wild west and this is an attraction.
Also, coming mid 2011? Must have been in production a while now, the second game was pretty bug free and polished, so not much to work on. Still would prefer wild west setting again.

Lol MP. I pretty much have given up on any multiplayer apart from big releases or newly released games. There have been so many great games that have died MP wise shortly after release from simply not enough players rather than poorly executed MP.
SP though was awesome. It was a hard choice between dueling the dual pistols with Ray (??) or the other guy with his precise rifles. One of the few SP games ive finished.
