Ubisoft has just announced they'll be releasing the Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell trilogy on the PlayStation 3, fully remastered in 720p HD and supporting true stereoscopic 3D as well as Trophy support.

No word on pricing yet, but it will be released "in the first half of 2011" via the PlayStation Network (so no hard-cover copies), exclusively. there's also no mention of any new online components or extra media, so it looks like it'll just be the first three original games released on PS2 and Xbox.

As soon as we have any new info or media, we'll post it up, so stay tuned.

Cool, the first three were the best.

Yeah deffinatly agreed that the first 3 were the best. Slowly creeping around in the dark, waiting for the right moment to strike and trying to run past guards without them hearing you was bloody great. Then it got all watered down.

Ive played a tonne of games and finished only a handful but splinter cell 1-3 i thoroughly enjoyed, finished all and thought they got better each version.
