We recently gave you a host of PC-specific news regarding Homefront on the desktop platform, which outlined a more hardcore play experience in vehicles, the dedicated server model and what system specs you'll need to run it.

Today, however, THQ chimed in citing a week delay in its release, though given the waiting period for most other PC versions of current games, seven days seems almost like a gift.

At any rate, Homefront for PC will be arriving at retail on March 17. President and CEO of THQ, Brian Farrell said of the delay during an investor call: "We moved our Homefront launch date by one week to. We think we have a great opportunity to dominate retail on this date".

Are they pushing it back because they want to work on it more, or are they pushing it back just cause they can?

So what game is being released a week or so earlier which will kill it? Bulletstorm?
And if theyre only moving the pc release back, how does this help their "domination" plans?

wouldn't bringing the date forward "dominate" the other game? i mean, get people to buy this one before the other...

Easier to drop it back than move it forward this close to release i'd say.

Could be worse. Their shipment could have been wrecked like Two Worlds 2 was.

"We just received the container from China with the Collector's Edition and other components and they are wrecked," TopWare managing director James Seaman informed Eurogamer.

"Several components were just a total wreck and unacceptable for us to give out to our fans.

Isn't bulletstorm a console game too? It wouldn't make sense only moving the pc launch if they don't want to compete with it. Probably some game breaking bug they want fixed first.
