User-generated content is yet to hit the big time on the console platform, but Sony are most definitely leading the charge, first with LittleBigPlanet, then ModNation Racers and now LittleBigPlanet 2.

The latter is what brings us here today, as I've been exploring the game's expanded single-player offering; a greater tool with which to sell the creation possibilities for budding game-designers out there (or not), as well as dabbling with the Workbench to play with the retooled creation system that offers so much more than the first game, but is also much easier to navigate and utilise.

Good review, my girlfriend bought me the collectors edition as one of my christmas presents. Although I think she really just bought it for herself as she loved the first game.

Good controls are at the heart of every great platformer. The poor controls in the first game were the reason I didn't think much of it. The review didn't really give much detail about the controls, but it sounded pretty much like nothing had changed.

It also feels like the only people who would sit down and spend the time to design a decent level are the same people who would get annoyed by dodgy controls.

Nice review, although this stuck out like the proverbial:

"The meat of this fluff-filled game though, is in making you’re own"

Your not you're!!!

While we're being grammar Nazis, I'm pretty sure the 'fair' in "...his English fair makes for..." should be 'fare'.

Just got posted on Kotaku. If the retro games support two players then I'm sold. Looks like you can make your own as well.
