Following the commercial success of their last Ghostbusters game (critical acclaim, not so much), Atari and Sony Pictures have announced Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, a co-op-centric action game in development for PC, XBLA and PSN.
Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is a four player, ghost-busting adventure that will take players on a brand new paranormal experience. Players will suit up with their proton packs and assume the role of a rookie hired by the Ghostbusters to save New York City from a disaster of ghoulish proportions.
More details can be found in the official press release, but the debut trailer should tell you everything you need to know anyway.

Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime is due on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Autumn 2011 (U.S. Spring).

I love ghostbusters but that looks like crap, if I'm not mistaken it looks like they're using assets from the last game

Hmm, no mention on voice acting so presumably none of the original ghostbusters are involved with this.

They made a sequel to that tripe released as a ghostbusters game the first time around?

Fool me once Atari, shame on you. If fooled... you can't get fooled again!
