With all of this talk about what's appropriate gaming content for children and what adults have a right to have access to, Splatterhouse should probably be thrust into the limelight as a perfect example of why we need an R18+ rating.

The game is unashamedly gory and adult, with nudity, swearing and plenty of blood and guts. Which is fine with us, because we're adults and the game is fitting for adults. I, however, have no idea how it managed to get past our censors in its current form at MA15+. No kids should be allowed to play it. But as an adult, I've thoroughly enjoyed it, despite many, many shortcomings.
