Ubisoft will be releasing the Animus Project Update 1.0 as free downloadable content for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood on December 14, the publisher revealed.

The content is an update for the game's uber-impressive multiplayer, serving up a whole new game mode called Advanced Alliance which is, you guessed it, a ramped up version of the normal Alliance mode along with an all-new map, Mont Saint-Michel; offering breathtaking scenery set to distract players, or at least give them a scenic place to breath their last.

I'm confused is this anti 2nd hand sale stuff or just a patch? Or are they trying to make themselves look good by saying they are giving you some 'DLC' for free.
