If you've been following AusGamers' extended coverage of Kaos Studios' Homefront, you'll know that among the myriad Triple A shooters out there, this one has one of the most potentially engaging hooks on offer in its deep and complex story.

Today THQ and Kaos have released a new trailer, detailing the world they've created for their new fiction, which incorporates the skills and knowledge of John Milius (Apocalypse Now, Conan The Barbarian) along with enough 'what if?' material rooted in a reasonable sense of real-world soil to keep you glued to the bitter end. In other words, it's really scary stuff.

Seems a lot like World in Conflict but FPS. I like the fact that although you still play as the US (like every other shooter) its set within the country, within the schools instead of just some US power trip with them storming in kicking ass to please 13 y/o's

Agree Kettels... i'm a bit sick of pro US story lines all the time... Patriotism is fine but come on... keep it in your pants

apparently the expanded universe will include other places such as Europe, Russia and even Australia - whether they come in the form of books, coimics, DLC or full sequels is still unknown though

Storyline is pretty crap since the US would just start a nuke war instead of being invaded. Looks like an alright game though.
