It's been a long time since we've heard anything official about L.A. Noire, the 1940's Los Angeles period title that's been quietly continuing at the Sydney-based Team Bondi studio.
Rockstar Games have today release what they're referring to as the "first trailer" for the game, seemingly trying to hope people forget about the other video they released way back in
October 2006 and
teased even earlier than that.
In their defence though, the game does appear to have come a very long way since that early incarnation, and you can check out the new "first trailer" -- which claims to be 100% in-game footage --
right here on AusGamers.
No other new information has yet been made available about the game, only that it is now due in Autumn 2011 (U.S. Spring) for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

As I get older I seem to prefer those more niche appeal games... This is one of 'em

Yeah, that's the first impression I got - incredible facial expressions and animations. I hope it's follows through to in-game and not just cutscene cinematics. I guess in a story based game this kind of attention to detail would really pay off.

Well, I've only been there for a week, but I've had a pretty pleasant experience so far. Both the Team Bondi and Rockstar people are incredibly friendly and helpful, and I've really liked what I've played of the game.
