Hot Flamethrower Action in Bad Company 2 Vietnam Trailer

EA DICE have released a new trailer from their forthcoming Vietnam downloadable expansion for Battlefield Bad Company 2. The latest clip features gameplay from the game's Hill 137 map with an infantry focus that serves as an ideal location to show off the flamethrower -- one of the 15 new weapons being introduced in the expansion. And of course, more psycadelic 60's rock.

Battlefield Bad Company 2: Vietnam is due during "Summer 2010" (U.S. Winter) for PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 at a USD$14.99/1200 MS Points price point -- No Australian pricing disparity has yet been revealed.

While I like the dark and gritty style of the vid, I'm sick of these game mechanics with TF2-pyro style flamethrower stylisation.

I'm still waiting for a game where you play the single player campaign as the underdog "terrorists" defending their own country whatever that may be and eventually kicking out the american/british/colonial invasion. This is done using AK's, Mortars, RPG's, remote detonators, IED's, (suicide bombings?) and just general street gorilla tactics. E.g. Mujahdeen vs the Soviets, the 20 year resistance of the Libyans lead by Omar El Mokhtar against the Italian colony, the cuban revolution lead by Fidel Castro.

Terrorism, Colonialism, Socialism.. whatever, give us something new other than feeding us that same over-glorified capitalist american heroeism USAUSAUSA BS!

I did hear that there was apparently a game in development which supposedly allowed you to play as the terrorist but then it was scrapped, or something, as it was believed it would be training our kids to become terrorists, or some jazz.

Notice the words 'apparently', 'supposedly', 'believed', 'or something' and 'or some jazz' so take whatever vagueness i said with a grain of salt . Either way you know that s*** would sell fast.

Well maybe if those backward countres got with the times instead of blowing people up, they would have devleoped a games industry and could make these games.

Instead the majority of games studios are from the west/USA, you know those "evil" countries.

Yeah i gotta agree with this, maybe not the whole suicide bombings and s*** but it would be good to play as something other than the yanks/brits. I agree 100% that the whole American heroism s*** is getting way too stupid. I half expect half way through these games you'll see everyone hand over hearts singing star spangled banner.

not sure if i'll get the expansion... it took them 12 months to fix the original bad company 2....

if its 15 bucks i might get it but anything higher.. not a chance.
