We have a slightly belated Dead Rising 2 review to share with you today, for anyone who wasn't sure and so hasn't gone out to check out the game, or for anyone else who has it and either agrees or disagrees with what we've got, either way.

This zombie-killing fest is available on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC, so there's no reason to avoid checking out our verdict, as there's no exclusion here (as we're all aware happens a lot in the industry at the moment), and for anyone who played the first game and wants to know how this fares against it, we get down to the nitty gritty for you.

Agree'd.... the save system is lame. Finding a toilet just as you get over run and die is rage quit material... But... on the PC the loading is not a drama. It's quick and nothing i would subtract points for.

I owned the first one on the 360, and i have to say it does feel like it would be suited to a console over the PC. Little things like in the settings, to change mouse sensitivity, the option is "stick" sensitivity. Obvious console port.

However it plays great on the PC and once i got used to the control system i started to enjoy it. The "RPG" elements to it like crafting weapons and player advancement is a welcome improvement.

If u like slaying zombies, then this is a great game and worth buying off steam for u PC blokes while the oz dollar is kicking ass....

So you have to work against the clock again? They should have omitted that s*** from the original

Yeah u do mate... and the thing too is u need to get back to the safe house every so often too to administer a drug to ur kid... So there's time limits for everything...

It's not a huge downer but i know what your talking about and i really wish they'd fk them off... That being said tho, a good thing they brought in was u can restart the story anytime, but instead of starting from scratch you keep all your xp and weapon upgrades... nice touch

If you have the PC version there is a trainer to remove the timer.

That was in the first aswell, i remember restarting and going to one specific spot and getting heaps of pp from at the start to get to level 10 straight away.

Handy tip if your playing it on the PC like myself grab a wired 360 controller and plug it into your PC. Now you've got the game for $40 the loading doesn't take forever and the controls feel good.

Plays fine with a mouse and keyboard, tried controller for like 5 seconds before getting the s**** with camera control.

weirdest thing about this game is that capcom doesn't let anyone else use their game engine so the devs that made this copied dead rising exactly, on the unreal engine I believe, in order to put out a sequel that feels like the first with new stuff.
