Well, to be fair, it hasn't really died. It seems it just can't. Rockstar's Red Dead Redemption has seen more life injected into than any other Rockstar property post-release, and the latest is going to be the antithesis to that as Rockstar San Diego inject an unhealthy dose of dead in their popular title.

That's right, zombies have made their way into the wild, untamed west where Marston and co will have to fight more than just cattle rustlers, bank robbers and murderers. They're fighting a plague that has infected half the population, and even animals (zombie bears anyone?). This new single-player DLC will also feature an all-new location, mythical creatures and new weapons to deal with the whole mess.
