Treyrach have offered up yet another "we love the PC" announcement, confirming that post-launch,
Call of Duty: Black Ops will have a full set of mod tools made available.
On the game's
official forum, user "pcdev" (developer, Cesar Stastny) said that "We [Treyarch] plan to open the game up for modding sometime post-launch," but that at this stage they were unsure as to how extensive modding would be, citing "technical issues" as a hurdle they need to overcome beforehand, issues "related to engine and internal tool enhancements that do not easily fit the modtools paradigm". Either way, this is still very good news for PC gamers burnt by promises never delivered by Infinity Ward for Modern Warfare.
