Despite rumours putting development of Michel Ancel's much revered Beyond Good & Evil in sequel form to bed, the developer has revealed himself at a conference in France that BG&E2 is very much still alive, but that work is going slow due to his team being small.
"On this game, we're keeping the team small," he told the Frenchies. "To preserve creativity and so the game doesn't become a commercial product, so that is has soul. It will take time. Please have patience. I'm sorry."
Good news for those of us who've been waiting for this for a while, though there's still no indication of how long we'll be waiting.
"We don't want to go too fast, and that's a shame it's true, because the project is taking a long time to come out," he continued. "But we want this project to be truly exceptional. Beyond Good & Evil 2 hasn't been abandoned, it's an ongoing project, and we hope to do it in this way using these tools - making a 3D game with very few people."
