The modern retelling of The Journey to the West from Ninja Theory (Heavenly Sword), Enslaved, has been given a release date in Europe of October 8 (my birthday), and will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3. We should see the game in Australia pretty close to that.

The main characters' names are derivative of the classic tale, which was popularised in the Japanese serial, Monkey Magic, with "Monkey" and "Trip", a duo who form an uneasy alliance in a post-apocalyptic future where humans have been enslaved by an unknown entity, and the world lies in ruins. What sets this game apart though, is its intense colour pallet (there's plenty of blue, green and red as opposed to grey and straight-up desert), as well as the use of technology in re-treating the classic tale.

We saw the game at E3 and had a bit of a play with it, so stay tuned for a full preview soon.

nice, saw this at E3 and was a bit impressed. I think it has everything to do with it not being almost monochromatic like most games.
