Gears of War 3 Trailer from E3

Microsoft have made public the E3 2010 trailer for the slightly anticipated Gears of War 3. Cliffy B sets the scene and the gameplay footage commences in typically gory and graphic Gears style (mature audiences only, yo), showing some female Gears, the latest Unreal engine technology and the new mutating enemies. You can download the 256mb 720p version or stream it below.

A couple of new screenshots have been released as well; nothing to write home about really, but you can check them out on our Gears game page.

I don't know if I'm doing it wrong or what, but "high quality" mode on the Ausgamers streaming video is blurry as hell for me. Here's the HD Youtube version.

They have milked this series for all it's worth and then some. GOW was awesome, GOW2 was dull....I doubt I will bother with this one.

We don't have high quality mode - we just have .... mode. Regular mode. It's low quality but its super-low bandwidth - if you want to watch it in high quality its better to just download it.

I've been thinking about bumping it for a while because it is nowhere near as good as youtube, but it uses soooo much less bandwidth - and I've sort of been working under the assumption that most people just want to get a quick stream going without eating all their bandwidth.

So... what new gameplay features is in this version? i see nothing different besides a new melee animation (wooo!) and new enemies. Maybe i expect too much in a sequel?

This alone should be worth the price of admission IMO. I thought the Gears 2 story was a bit dull compared to the first one but cheered when Fenix and crew eventually met up with TT Office Linebacker. :D
