Inside Xbox Video: Modern Warfare 2 Resurgence Map Pack

We haven't been sent any official trailer yet, but the GamerSpawn YouTube channel managed to grab this, which we thought we'd share with you in the interim. It's Infinity Ward's Creative Strategist, Robert Bowling, showcasing Infinity Ward's next Modern Warfare 2 Map Pack "Resurgence" (apparently Bowling is no longer IW's "Community Manager").

In the video we get a glimpse of the three new maps, Trailer Park, Fuel and Carnival as well as any differences that have been applied to the new maps carried over from Modern Warfare, Vacant and Strike (which is actually quite a few, though subtle). It's all looking pretty cool, and I'm actually really keen to check out Carnival, though I still think it's a rip to have to pay for a map pack that includes old maps. Check it out embedded below.

I know you kinda have to promote this stuff as its the purpose of your site, but I personally think you should give crap like this no coverage at all, because it doesnt deserve it.

A bit lame how this is done, they haven't put the new maps into normal rotation...you have to plenty other crap random gametypes instead of the one you want on the new maps

i just got my conslol back from repair, and fired up mw2. There doesn't seem to be that many people playing the maps in their 'new maps only' playlists. I will probably wait until they are free or brought into the main playlists.

hopefully the last map pack will go free or cheap when this one comes out.

Not around here it would seem. I see Trog determined to take a stand against the aussie pricing which is basically just us being ripped off, so why not take a stand against this DLC, it's a rip off also and even worse it's a global rip off.

He didn't say there weren't people who didn't care, he said it doesn't deserve coverage. I suppose you could say that because people care it deserves coverage but I bet people only care because of the massive amount of media exposure this game has received already. Bit of a chicken or egg scenario.

I'm having no trouble finding games on xbox with the normal map rotation so I don't really care about the map packs. Maybe if they were cheaper.

Yeah I'd probably buy them if they were like AU$5 but most likely not, unless they were really awesome.
