The Dragon Age: Origins website now has The Darkspawn Chronicles DLC available for purchase - for Xbox 360 and PC, anyway; the PS3 version is still coming soon (pricing, in USD: $5 [400 BioWare Points, 400 MS Points, $4.99 PSN]). From the page:
Play as the darkspawn! The city of Denerim, jewel of Ferelden, girds itself for war. As a hurlock vanguard, you alone hold the power to make thralls of your fellow darkspawn and drive them into the heat of battle. Heed the archdemon's call--Denerim must burn!
Key Features:
- A look at an alternate history: what if your character had died in the Joining ceremony, and the Grey Wardens marched under Alistair's command instead?
- Command genlocks, hurlocks, shrieks, and even the mighty ogres.
- Complete the module and unlock an epic Darkspawn item in DA:O and Awakening.
- Requires Dragon Age: Origins to play.

i don't really see why ya'd wanna micro a hoard of darkspawn anyway... even ogre are weak as piss compared to high lvl character.

What?! That was one of the easiest boss fights in the game. I finished it first go?

I can't bring myself to go back to Dragon Age though, granted I put like 70+ hours into it the first time around, but looking back on it, its just too rough when stacked up against something like Mass Effect 2.

Game needed about 3-4 more dragons. Just optional ones you could hunt down for loot and accolades aside from the main campaign.

Still not enough fights with great big monstars. Fun though, its one I reckon I'll come back to eventually for a second playthrough.

Yeah that was a bit of a let down too. She started out as this uber mean dragon that seemed hard at first because I kept getting knocked on my arse and stomped on, but then I left my archer right up the back and just pecked away with arrows for ages and she didn't even move to stop it. I felt dirty by the end of that fight.
