Realising they were onto a good thing the first time around, the Prince of Persia team over at Ubisoft Montreal have taken the series back to its original "Sands of Time" setting, with a brand-new entrant - Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands.

While gameplay remains marginally unchanged from the original trilogy (a good thing in my book), the team have been able to build the new game on the Anvil engine; originally built for Assassin's Creed, offering a stunning and richly detailed look at the Prince's classic world.

When I think "back to basics", "original", and "first time around" I think of the 2d Prince of Persia game from 20 years ago. A mate of mine had it on his Apple computer.

I didn't get prince of persia until i played sands of time i think it was on the playstation 2?

That was really fun, mostly because i loved rewinding after f*****g up a crapload. Oh god how i hated mario 64 in parts thanks to a godawful camera, and i hated banjo kazooie more for the same reason.
