The first 2010 episode of Byteside kicked off earlier this week, and AusGamers was part of the panel to discuss the future of games and the games industry. We had a lot of fun, covered some cool stuff and attempted to counter the 'devil's advocate' as often as possible (thanks Yug) with some reasonably split conversation.

We're looking at getting the videos up locally on AusGamers, but in the meantime, you can just head over here to watch, or if you're more into the tech stuff, they also have a 'future' discussion available to check out here.

I missed the end half of this because the guys started getting me tequila shots, I think we had about 4 in 20 minutes, night ended up being fairly crazy...

But from what i remember of the first half it was really interesting. Good too see you guys stuck with the "take a drink ever time someone said future" :D

Some interesting thoughts about when the next consoles will be out and the direction of PSN, Xbox marketplace, DSiware, etc.

That's the first time I've watched an episode and I have to say that I really like the format of the show. It's good to see a decent representation of the Australian games press and nice to see that it's not just everyone agreeing on every topic.

Will definitely check in on future eps. Worlds better than most podcast-style segments than I've seen in the past.
