Another weekend over, let's see what we missed while afk:
- NIER: Likely to leave you saying "wtf did I just watch?", Square-Enix have released the first gameplay footage from Nier, their forthcoming action title in the works at Japanese developer Cavia. You probably won't be able to tell from the trailer, so here's the blurb:
Players assume the role of the unyielding protagonist, NIER, resolute in his quest to discover a cure for his daughter, who is infected with the Black Scawl virus. With powerful allies and a mysterious book, NIER encounters things that will confound even the mightiest of warriors. With NIER, experience seamless in-battle cinematics and explore hauntingly familiar lands, intense action-packed battles, and storytelling like only Square Enix can do.

NIER has yet to be dated for an Australian/European release, but the game is coming to U.S. Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 in Autumn 2010 (U.S. Spring).
- Superstars V8: Next Challenge: While the ever-extending wait for Gran Turismo continues, Italian developer Milestone, best known for their Super Bike racing series and the Screamer games keep plugging along with the first trailer for Superstars V8: Next Challenge - the followup to last year's Superstars V8 Racing. The sequel promises a complete damage system, dynamic weather and 16 player online action.

Superstars V8: Next Challenge is due for a Q1 2010 release on PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
- Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online: Despite his recent recreational antics, EA Sports are still moving forward with their Tiger Woods branded golf games and the recent open beta preview of the browser-based PC exclusive Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online has proven hugely popular. In case you'd like to see what the game is like before commiting to a large download, they've released a new gameplay trailer.

Last I heard the hermaphrodite character is only in Replicant, but that could change?
