Two sequences that had to be cut from the game (I'm assuming), due to time constraints. So now instead of never getting to play the stuff that was left on the cutting room floor, for a few dollars extra, you now get hours more game that you wouldn't have otherwise had. How again is this a bad thing?
People do it with films all the time, Peter Jackson released special editions of all the Lord of the Rings films with 30 - 40 minutes of extra footage added back in to each movie. People happily paid hundreds of dollars to get those versions of the movies, how is this any different?

That's a terrible analogy khel. He released dvd's with special content/cut scenes because the movie would have been 5 hours long. Not because he ran out of time making them then after the movie aired and he decided to create the special content. Also, you weren't required to buy the dvd, then the special content as two separate purchases.
DLC's are fantastic, except companies are abusing them in my opinion.

You weren't, but they still released the normal movies on DVD, and then didn't release the special editions till months later, so I'm sure a lot of people still did end up paying twice.
I'm just saying, you're getting extra content that would have otherwise been left on the cutting room floor. Its not like this stuff was done and they with-held it because they wanted to make money off it later on. If it was Activision, maybe I'd believe that, but Ubisoft are generally better than that. Assassin's Creed 2 is a fantastic game, I'll happily spend $10 for more Assassin's Creed 2. Luckily, its optional, so if people don't like it, they don't have to buy it!
But, I do agree, some companies are abusing DLC, paying for new costumes for Tekken or Streetfighter or Soul Calibur, especially in the case where the stuff is already on the disc and you're just paying to unlock it, is pretty s***. But stuff like this AC2 content, or the Fallout 3 DLC, or what GTA4 did, or the Burnout Paradise stuff is all awesome.

I have found with a few games I have purchased, I have finished them and moved on, and the DLC really isn't enough to warrant me playing the game again.
