Left 4 Dead 2 Cracks Two Million Sold; DLC Soon

Valve have announced this morning that Left 4 Dead 2 has sold two million copies two weeks after launch:

Released just two weeks ago, over 2 million retails copies of L4D2 have been sold worldwide and the game appears to be on target to become one of the top selling Xbox and PC titles for the month of November. Sales to date are more than double the original title, which was released exactly one year prior to L4D2. And "Black Friday" promotions during the title's second week of availability in North American resulted in stronger than expected sales in L4D2's bid to become one of this year's best selling releases on both platforms.

The article goes on to mention that around one million people are playing on Xbox Live and that news on the first round of downloadable content "is coming very soon".

Which is all fine and dandy if my m8s stopped playing that s***** mw2 and played l4d2 with me, I haven't even finished the 2nd campaign.

I told someone at work how to get the uncensored version. He wasn't going to buy the censored one.

stuck with the censored version and cbf playing it anymore only finished the 1st campaign. games dead to me with no gore

playing uncensored version and loving it.

hadnt played l4d1 so its all a bit of a learning experienc at the moment

awesome fun with mates.

Censored version has been cracked. Two very minor changes and run from executable (not directly from Steam) with Steam running in the background.
There's two references to '550'. Change it to '510' and write protect those text files.

so i wrote to cdwow who had listed a UK (uncensored R18+) version of the game for sale and asked if it would work in australia, and they replied it would only work on UK servers.

is this correct?

you can play on servers that support this fix, these are different servers to what the the rest of us play on though

Just buy the overseas version some how; dont do the local edit - isolates you from the rest of Aus.

Would like to see some Steam vs Retail and PC vs xbox sales figures. Also PC MW2 vs PC l4d2.

We have been going through the campaigns on expert, they are a bit harder than l4d1 campaigns. We have only done the 2 easier ones (dead center and dark carnival). I reckon The parish is gunna be epic hard. The finale is insane.

and dark carnival

Part 3 of this campaign, Dark Coaster is near impossible on versus for survivors.

I've yet to see a team complete the rollercoaster section, even if they managed to kill the tank and all stay green they still get raped.

A good spit at the gate to the coaster can take all 4 out with ease... if they pass that, smokers/jockeys/chargers have so many perfect opportunities for the next 3-4 minutes to take out a whole survivor.

Best campaign.

Newb to Scavenger mode an played with likewise similarly inexperienced peeps an enjoyed it for a first attempt.
Looking forward to doing this at our next LAN an kinda scared as well

When your LAN's consist of step & smeggems + contents of house + lucky randoms = WIN (so long as Step & Smeggems are on opposite sides, or both on my side)!

Just go to US or UK website of steam, when u fill in the form where you put your credit card details select the country US or UK and tick the box stating that u live in that country. Then download the game via steam. I did this on the US steam website, i can play with Aussies (censored and uncensored) and play on any servers.
