If you think the game is boring, thats your perogative, but that's hardly the consensus. If you must however, at least give reasons for your assertion. For instance I'll counter your argument by relating how much I enjoyed the PvP aspect of EVE. No other MMO compares to the thrill of trying to stake out your claim in nul sec with your corp mates. Losing your ship is permanet (of course you will normally have more then one ship so its not like you have to start from square one), yes it's harsh and not for every body, but it makes every second exciting.

Sure, why not. Four main reasons I found this game boring:
1. Levelling. Basically, you click a button, close the game, set an alarm later on to come back and click the next button. You could say that this is a good thing as you don't have to 'grind', but you're basically paying to not play the game. At least in other MMOs you play it somehow to better your character, and you can reach the cap in realistic timeframes. Not to mention any new people are years behind entrenched players.
In short, you hand over your money to not play the game in terms of levelling.
2. Combat. I don't need to tl;dr this, all you do is click enemy, click fire missiles. Sometimes, you can be rebellious and click fire different missiles (*after* you've already played long enough time to have started a small family irl) and then, just to mix it up even more if you're a daring kinda person, you can click orbit.
3. Mining. Pretty sure they're only put a web browser component in because most people play eve online by pressing alt-tab and using an actual browser.
4. Travelling. See #3. Alt-tab, use a timer and/or listen to monotonous computerised voices.
I laughed at your sarcasm, but it was a bit ironic considering you can't actually do much at all, and the only things you can actually do with any consequences boils down to two fairly primitive things. Piss a corporation off, or don't piss them off. If that's "far reaching" then brb, I have a wasp nest to "far reach" outside my side window.
I like the idea of a player run game, corporations and environment etc and can definately see the attraction with eve online in terms of the whole roleplaying element. But really, it's the sims: spaceship community expansion. Instead of clicking little sims around and watching how they interact with other little sims, you click little spaceships around watch they interact with other little spaceships and then listen to people whining on teamspeak.

I definitely say Eve has a niche market, no doubt about it. I still play plenty of other games and I have to say I'd rather deal with a bit of whining on TS/Vent than a torrent of "F*****G F** NOOB GAY F*****!" or annoying MP3's being spammed insanely...or in the case of xbox live going into a game that supports the web cam and seeing some fat c*** jerking his c***... I think that is a very simplified view of the game.
But we probably agree on 1 thing, a player driven economy and game is awesome :) I'd like to see more titles do something similar. Dust 514 being integrated into Eve will be awesome too hopefully. Don't feel like clicking your
shipSim, hop on XBox Live and shoot a few people.Posted 10:17pm 27/11/09
I think the most boring bit of the game is the first month or so, as while you're getting the essential skills, you've basically got a very limited amount of options.
Otherwise I can see it's appeal, hell if if I had more time I would probably still play it. Plus each content patch adds so much more to the game!
I've heard that CCP/White Wolf are making a mmo based on the Vampires universe. Hopefully it has the depth of eve.

You honestly have no idea on how to immerse yourself in the game, given your 4 points of boredom. If you were to actually try, perhaps you wouldn't be such a crybaby whinger pissing your pathetic hate onto this boring ass review.
Go cry to your mommy and GTFO the interweb.

In my short experience with Eve it quite clearly appealed to a more hardcore bunch of gamers.
