Ubisoft have let us know their "internal estimates" put sales of Assassin's Creed II, in its first week, 32% up on the original game, which was released in November of 2007. The original game remains the fastest selling new videogame IP (intellectual property) ever in the US - a pretty amazing feat for gaming.
They've also let us know the game has an average review score of 91% over at GameRankings.com, while we, of course,
reviewed the game quite recently and awarded it a 9.2/10 citing its non-repetitive nature and engaging characters as proof of the game's cash-money worthiness.
It's a bit annoying their figures are based on internal estimates, but you'd have to assume people picked it up as well as MW2 (or instead of), right?
