Welcome to yet another AusGamers Weekly Wrap, which should have been up yesterday afternoon, only I didn't realise after I'd hit "Add Item" on our back-end, it never actually uploaded. Better late than never though, so here it is for you.
As you all know, last week saw the release of Modern Warfare 2, marking the beginning of the year-end's truly awesome games, followed up this week with Assasssin's Creed II and Left 4 Dead 2 and so on. Again, however, with these games taking up news space, there's just not a great deal of digestible game politics going about - at least nothing of "Gasp!" value. But for the sake of consistency, here we go.
In the Headlines
SEGA
revealed a Bayonetta Special Edition retail release for Australia, rumours started up of GTA IV: Episodes From Liberty City (ie The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony)
heading to PC, Microsoft
revealed details for their new Xbox 360 wireless network device, Dante's Inferno
will see the demo light of way in December, more than
one million people were shown the virtual Xbox Live door, Funcom revealed plans to
lure players back to Age of Conan,
details arose of the next major update for Xbox 360, we
pointed out the 'fair and balanced' side of Fox News, we found an
awesome trailer on something of a rival site too good to ignore and Krome Studios
dropped the firing axe.
Video we highly recommendAnd on the editorial front, we of course presented you our Modern Warfare 2
verdict, while AusGamers own Nathan put together an awesome feature showing you how to
build your own HD HTPC for around $500. Trog also
reviewed the Omni Bean Bag.
That's it for us for another week. Stay tuned throughout this week though for the latest trailers, headlines, files, features, reviews, previews and interviews. Word.
