Eidos have released a new developer diary style trailer explaining how they've amped up the trusty old grappling hook for their action packed sequel Just Cause 2.
No longer just another weapon in your cycle, the grapple is now off-hand and ready for any situation as well as being able to tether enemies and objects to other objects - a recipe for more unique mayhem.
Check out the clip right here for the goods.

i wonder if the physics are all sorted for this sort of thing... like does a long range grapple pull give you falling damage when you hit an object? one of the things that kinda annoyed me about crysis was that at teh very beginning you jump outta a plane n your shute fails & you suffer no damage from the fall. later in the game if you just jump off a rooftop you often died!?!
anyways, looks good. on my list to play :D

He landed in the water at the start, yeah not much difference at that speed I imagine but that was the excuse the commander dude gave "you're over the water kid, the suit should absorb most of the impact" or some bs.
