At the 2006 GC, a dev made up of former S.T.A.L.K.E.R. employees, debuted a video for their upcoming post-apocalyptic shooter, Metro 2033. The game obviously borrowed much from the team's previous experience, but seemed to also incorprate a more RPG/social element. Since then we've seen another trailer, and recently it was revealed the game would see a proper push for the light of release with THQ opting in to publish.

It's definitely a smart move on THQ's part, who're aggressively securing all-new IPs to be one of the premier publishers out there (still can't wait for Homefront). At any rate, the game, which is currently only slated for PC release, is looking mighty tasty, as this new trailer reveals.

I like the sound of this, former stalker devs is promising, but I have to wonder if THQ can/will give them what they need to get it done this time.
