I know a lot of our users have been eagerly awaiting this, and while it doesn't necessarily give any new information, we have a trailer up for The Beatles Rock Band, which clearly attempts to bring the fab four back to life and into the lives of the burgeoning 'casual' gamer (with hardcore gamers, too).

Interesting release date, and it's funny they went with an English voice-over, but it's likely going to do the job.

Check it out right here.

That John Lennon close up bit is a little on the creepy side

Anyone bought this yet? I grabbed a copy this morning and it kicks a lot of ass...as long as you're a fan of The Beatles I guess.

I played thru on story mode to begin with so I could unlock everything. The visuals to start off with are rather average. I don't mean they're crap, more so where you get to play - a pub and stadium. But once you get up to around 1967 I think it is, where all the drugs come in, the visuals are really f*****g cool. Ones that really stood out were Sgt Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band and I Am The Walrus.

The only downer is playing thru slow stuff like Yellow Submarine and a couple of others which I can't remember the names because I haven't heard them before. But once everything is open you can forget about those ones anyway. Also, if you wanna play whatever, you can cue up as many songs as you like so you don't have to go back to the set list.

The only gripe I have is with multiplayer. It still fails everyone if someone f**** up which I think is dumb. You should be able to continue playing if a player falls behind.

But as it is with games like this I don't think I'll be playing it much. These things are only fun when you have a bunch of people playing.

can't most or a lot of beatles songs be played with like 3 chords? how does that translate to a good guitar hero/rock band game?

(serious question, not trolling)
