What was the song used in the middle of the trailer? Or is that off their new album? As we'd probably see that in GH5 as DLC, for he mentions that people buy games like buying records etc. We'll, Im just guessing...

How can you pass judgement on their "new stuff" after only hearing one song? Personally, I don't mind if they want to go through a Queen phase and take some inspiration from them, cos Queen is pretty awesome too.

Absolution and Origins by far. BH&R is still very good but I'll wait til the Resistance comes out before passing it off. I must admit I haven't really been enticed yet by the new material.

That's pretty much how I feel as well. I listen to Origins/Showbiz/Absolution quite regularly, but BH&R just has that (for lack of a better word/phrase) mainstream mass produced feel to it. Just can't top tracks like Citizen Erased, New Born & Plug In Baby.

Absolution and Showbiz are probably my favs, but I still really liked Black Holes, it has a really grand sense of scale to it I reckon, like its the score for some kind of epic space opera.

s***e since black holes? you mean, in the last 2 weeks when their new songs were released?

you are a douche, sir.

their new s*** is awesome.

edit: I can't believe all the people going "omg they sound like queen" after hearing their new song. Have you never ever thought they sounded like Queen before? Bellamy has said in interviews (even one on JJJ) like years ago that Queen was a big influence for them. It was one of the reasons I thought they were awesome like 10 years ago when I started listening to them, cuz they had that whole Queen vibe going on.

This is exactly what I was thinking!

Everyone said that BH&R was s*** when they first heard SuperMassiveBlackHole and now everyone loves it.

Bands do change... you can't just keep going along playing the same stuff forever.

muse ftw....they could release a spoken word album on migrating ducks and id love it.

i used to hate guitar hero and all it stands for...
but when i heard a 6 year old singing 'livin' on a prayer', cause its on GH, it changed my opinion.
now i know thats not the 'coolest' song, but the huge range of songs available means a new generation can be exposed to the classics.

as long as people realise, its nothing like playing an actual guitar....

Guitar Hero is strange for real musicians. I tried it at a mates place with a bunch of people. It was fun, but being an actual drummer, I wanted to play everything properly haha. Was easier to just play the song instead of trying to play the beats that it was throwing at me. I fail at GH.

As for Muse, I could probably say that Sing For Absolution is one of the best songs they have in terms of emotion and mood.
