Worms 2: Armageddon Trailer

Team 17 have sent along the trailer for Worms 2: Armageddon, a true sequel to the 1999 classic strategy title Worms Armageddon that's bound for the Xbox Live Arcade. Watch it here.

The trailer shows off some of the games new features including all new weapons and landscape types, vertical levels and an actual singleplayer campaign as well as all the multiplayer functionality you'd expect from a Worms game on Xbox Live.

Apparently the game is pegged for a later PC and Mac release too, so old school worms fans - keep an eye out!

The Xbox Live Arcade release has not been dated, Team 17 only saying to expect the game "soon, real soon".

Wouldn't it be Worms: Armageddon 2? Pretty sure there was already a Worms 2 like 15 years ago.

Yeah you'd think so. I guess they're treating it as a sequel to the 1st Xbox Live Arcade Worms released a couple of years back. I think that was just called "Worms".

Pretty sure Team 17 solely exist just to create Worms and Lemmings games every couple of years for the rest of eternity now anyway.
