As one of the more popular measures of gameplay prowess, Microsoft's Achievement system has just been given a boost.

In the past, boxed copies of games were required to feature anywhere between one and 50 Achievements for a total value of 1000 Gamerscore Points and DLC or XBLA titles anywhere between one and 30 Achievements for a total of 250G. Now, however, thanks to games with an extended life-cycle (such as Fallout 3 or GTA IV), Microsoft have opened up their Achievements to allow for a total Gamerscore accumulation of 750G for DLC.

Might not sound important to some, but for Achievement junkies (like myself) it's awesome news.
