Nintendo President Satoru Iwata gave a keynote speech this morning at GDC, innocently titled "Discovering New Development Opportunities". A big chunk of the presentation was on this exact topic, mostly focusing on the exploits and practices of Shigeru Miyamoto (he made a few games you probably have heard of -
look him up!), which was very entertaining, but probably not what a lot of people were waiting for - Nintendo's announcements about upcoming games or amazing new things.
Well, there wasn't really anything Earth-shattering, but there's some good news - Nintendo today are rolling out the new Wii System Menu 4.0, which includes some pretty significant changes, most notably adding the ability for the Wii to handle SDHC cards. You'll also now be
able to save and launch games directly from the card, making it much easier to manage content.
The
press release contains the official word.

DS = not so much.
Don't get me wrong, I really liked Phantom Hourglass, but we're all hanging out for more Wii games here.

Its the only way it can be done says the guys on hackmii, becuase the wii doesnt allow direct access to the sdcard for running stuff off it or something.
Spose u wont have anything on the internal memoery though, and it can now handle 32gb sdhc cards.
