DICE and EA have released a new video for the upcoming (and delayed) PC version of Mirror's Edge. Today's 2 minute clip demonstrates the extra eye-candy that players can achieve by running the game on a PhysX capable system.
While seemingly entirely superficial and in some cases possibly even making the game harder by adding new things that obscure your view, it does look pretty cool. Check it out
right here on AusGamers.
Mirror's Edge is now expected on PC January 15 2009. The game is now available on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, hit up AusGamers
in-depth review for all the details.

nope. 360 and ps3 versions lack the physx effects

Looks like yet another misleading PhysX tech demo.
They either speed up the CPU-version physics to make it disappear quickly and slow-mo the hardware accelerated one (look at the glass breaking halfway through), or they completely leave out a CPU implementation even in situations where it should be able to handle a specific physics algorithm just fine.
Much of the difference/gap you see between many PhysX On and Off comparisons is fairly arbitrary to try to artificially boost the apparent benefits of the SDK/hardware.
