We were dragged out to Microsoft last week for the day to slog it out with Gears of War 2, follow up to Epic's 2006 hit for the Xbox 360. So after a few years in development and some lessons learned, has the series taken a turn for the better, worse or same?
You'll have to jump in and have a read of our full review, but the one thing we can say right off the bat is if you have an Xbox 360-ready friend, this is one of the most enjoyable cooperative gameplay experiences you'll have in a long while (as long as you don't mind gaming that requires little-to-no thinking).

I like the different elements to the game - some parts of the game are about killing and moving forward - some are about dodging moving things without getting squished, etc, etc. A nice mix of things to do all adds to the flavour of the game.
I like the uncensored language, and how it adds to the storyline - makes the 'Delta squad' seem much more realistic. Don't like games where the soldiers don't swear.
Co-op these days is a must. Rapt they implemented it very well with storyline mode.
I can't imagine it has much replayability. I wouldn't play it again (if I finish it in the first place). 8/10 from me.
