Valve Software have sent along another new trailer from Left 4 Dead, this time it's the game's introductory cinematic.

Check it out right here in the AusGamers video library.

A playable demo for Left 4 Dead will be available on November 11 (Nov 6) for those that have pre-ordered, the full game available from Steam for PC on November 18 and the Australian retail following on November 20 for both PC and Xbox 360.

Wait. what?

Why give a playable DEMO to the people who have already committed to buying it? Isn't the point of the demo to demonstrate the game to those who are toying with the idea of buying it?

Would not giving the ability to play some sort of pre-release version of the game be considered a Beta? Usually used to debug a game before full release?

actually I think the demo for preorders comes out nov 6th and the normal demo comes out nov 11th

They did the same thing for the orange box.. gave the tf2 beta for those steam pre orders.

Cool trailer, can't f*****g wait for this one. One of the only games I've been interested in all year - and why? Because its a PC game with Co-op.

So the demo will be friday for us? Also looks like valve are releasing Steam Cloud with l4d. Steam Cloud will store all save games, configs, prefs on the steam servers so you don't have to f*** around on other computers setting stuff up. Pretty neat.
