A new trailer for Gears of War 2 has made its way online, offering a great taste of some of the new multiplayer features in the heavyweight sequel from Epic Games.

The 8 and a half minute clip, narrated by Epic's Cliffy B and Rod Ferguson details some of the new game modes, weapons and abilities you'll be seeing when Gears of War 2 lands this holiday season.

Update: The publisher has requested that this trailer be removed as we weren't supposed to see it yet!

1up did a great interview with cliffy B on the 1up shows last video episode. They had questions from the forums and they were pretty harsh. If you are interested in this game i highly recommend checking out the interview.

geez had to use media player classic to get this vid to play. wouldnt work in windows media player and had a blue strip covering half of the vid in vlc.

My VLC won't play it properly but MPC and WMP are ok. I think it's some form of flash video in an avi container. Regardless, our streaming version works peachy.

Kimbo: if you watched it you'd find out. It's actually one of the better dev interview style trailers I've seen in a while, details everything really well.

The new multiplayer game types sound great and bumped to max 10 players now.

Using players as cover -> Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory in Coop and Vs. Mode

Coop Mode -> Wait until Left 4 Dead comes out.

Nice to see Cliff is doing what he's doing. Will be big on consoles. Dunno about PC.
