Last week Nintendo flew themselves up to Sydney to showcase three of their bigger Wii releases for the year; among them the venerable Mario Kart Wii! AusGamers was lucky enough to get an appetising invite, and yours truly went out to get hands-on with the early '08 offerings from The Big N.

So how did they fare? You'll have to head on in to check out the skinny on Battalion Wars 2, follow-up to the Kuju-developed original for GameCube, Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn, yet another GameCube original finding its way onto Wii in sequel form (and looking fantastic), and of course MKW.

It was definitely weird, didn't feel uncomfortable, but could be problematic - more time needs to be had with it, that's for sure
