The Electronic Entertainment Expo, or "E3" as it is more commonly known, is heading back to the Los Angeles Convention Centre after mixed results from 2007 where the convention was shifted to Santa Monica and broken up into small meeting rooms and stripped back from its usually massive trade show presentation.

However, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) have said the show will maintain its renewed focus on a smaller scale event.
The event will continue to focus on the business of the computer and video game industry, with an emphasis on press events and small meetings with media, development, and other key sectors. While there will be opportunities for game demonstrations, the 2008 E3 Media & Business Summit will not feature the large trade show environment of previous years.
According to the official release (which can be found here), the 2008 E3 Media and Business Summit will take place over the same dates as 07, July 15-17, which was moved from the traditional May period the expo has maintained for years. No other announcements regarding presentations at the event have been released.
